Song of the Force, the SequelIn the first RP--over at the JJT--this was a story about how the Exile went into the Unknown Regions to discover what happened to Revan. In the last RP, the Exile, Dane Kurress, went to a planet deep in the Unknown Regions, where they encountered a being who was strong in the Dark Side, and was also responsible for causing the Mandalore Wars, and indirectly, the Jedi Civil War. This creature was something like a giant whale, the last of its species, and it used a special Force crystal formation to amplify it's voice--because it used its force powers by Singing. Though the crystal formation, it could affect other areas in space, even places that were very far away from its planet. Well, working together, Revan and Dane managed to find the evil being--whose name was Eviwy--and they managed to destroy the crystal formation. Also, Dane managed to use the Force to send a mental message to a Force-sensitive Republic officer, who then went into the Unknown Regions, and had his ship open fire upon the planet's surface--the dead planet where Eviwy had dwelled for so long. That resulted in a cave-in, which apparently killed Eviwy. However, Revan and Dane managed to escape, and T3--who had control of the Ebon Hawk--was able to pick them up from the planet. Now, it is five years after that has happened, and the galaxy is peaceful again. Revan is married to Carth, and they have a four-year-old son. Dane and Atton are engaged. However, all is not as peaceful as it seems, because... Eviwy isn't as dead as everyone thought. Her spirit has possessed Dane Kurress, and Atton has only found out recently--and now, Dane has disappeared, and no one knows where she has gone. Although everyone believes that Eviwy wants to try and build up her own Empire, through Dane. The only lead they have is that Dane was sighted on Coruscant, near the Jedi Temple there, which hasn't really been used in years. They think she is looking for something there, and they have to stop her before she finds whatever secret lies there. So Atton, Revan, Carth, and the droids go aboard the Ebon Hawk, and head to Coruscant to try and find her, and stop her. However, to make things more complicated, Revan and Carth's four-year-old son has stowed away onboard the ship... Master Mical
The meeting was about to start within the Council Chambers, and I could sense that everyone was already there. Master Mira, Master Atton Rand, Master Bastila Shan, and of course, High Master Revan herself.
Even though I knew they were waiting for me to join them, I found myself tarrying a bit. I was standing outside the rebuilt Enclave, gazing at the beautiful sky of Dantooine. It truly was a beautiful planet, despite its scars. The Mandalore War, the Jedi Civil War... those wars had left their marks on nearly every planet, in one way or another. And... I sighed, they're left their marks on a lot of the people as well... They certainly left their marks on all of us...
Five years ago, when Revan and Dane returned from the Unknown Regions, triumphant, they had gathered us together, and established a new Jedi Order. And while Revan and Dane both worked hard, along with Admiral Carth Onasi, to make the Jedi Order and the Republic strong once again, the rest of us worked hard as well. In essence, we were rebuilding the galaxy. Trying to make it as strong as it was before the Mandalorian Wars.
And now that the entity which had originally sparked that war was gone, perhaps... perhaps we could finally find peace in this galaxy...
At least, I had honestly thought we could.
Dane Kurress had vanished. She'd been acting very strangely lately, especially after Atton had proposed to her, and she'd accepted his proposal. Then, exactly one week ago, she simply disappeared. No one was certain where she'd gone, although everyone had done their own investigations. Right now, we were about to meet and discuss the results. We were going to compare notes, and hopefully someone knew where she had gone, what was wrong with her, and what she was after.
And I'm not helping anything by standing out here, I thought. I drew in a breath, then I turned and entered the Enclave, heading toward the Council Chambers.

If Revan had to choose who had the dirtiest room, it would be hers. Old, unwashed tunics with oil stains and frayed cloths were strewn all over the ground. A cup of water from two weeks ago was still on her nightstand, and papers, tons and tons of papers, were dumped half0heartidly on her desk. She forgot if she had to file those or read them. Dev, in the adjoining room, kept his room clean with the sheer fact that he wasn't the leader of the Jedi Order. Sure, he had some dirty laundry, and Revan took care of that, but she doubted he had a bottle behind his bed from when he was two years old.
Revan knew Carth was going back all the way from Coruscant, so Revan quickly put all the dirty cloths in a not-very-much-used laundry basket, used the Force to levitate the numerous glasses of empty or half-full drinks (there were five so far), and put them all in the trash compactor, thankful that the Enclave used collapsible cups. Quickly tidying up her desk, she took her laundry basket (Force that was heavy!) and balanced it on her hip while she walked through the door that adjoined Dev's room with hers. "You have dirty cloths, hon?" she asked her four-year-old son.
Dev shook his head. "Is Daddy coming home, momma?" he giggled. "You nevah clean."
"Yes, daddy's coming home, sweetie," she said. She tried to sense him through the Force. Sithpiss, he was hiding again. Though he could do it unconsciously, it always made Revan uneasy when she couldn't feel her own son. "Now, go get dressed."
Dev raised his arms. "Can daddy pick me up? Or I too heavy?"
"You're getting there," Revan said, smiling. She put down the basket and tried to pick him up. "Oof, you're getting heavier and heavier."
"Yedi supposed to be stwong!" Dev said, giggling again.
"But I have to save my strength for the bad guys," Revan said, tickling his side. He yowled in laughter. She looked at the time and cursed. "Baby, don't move this out from under the bed, okay?" she asked. "Let's keep it our little secret." She put a finger to her lips and gently slid the laundry basket under Dev's bed. "Shh, okay?" she asked.
"Shh," Dev agreed.
"Now mommy's got to go," Revan said. "Will you be a good boy until I get back?"
He seemed to hesitate, then he smiled broadly. "Yes momma."
Revan went back to her room and left, locking the door behind her. Mira was waiting right across from the door, smiling. "You're getting soft, Revan," she said. She turned, and they began walking towards the Jedi Council Chambers. "A mother's guts are made for twisting, you know."
Revan raised an eyebrow. "You heard us?"
"Jedi sound enhance techniques. Works every time. Make sure that Dev doesn't think there's monsters under his bed, Revan, or Carth will get a face-full of socks."
They laughed.

Master Atton Rand
As I sat there in the council chambers only one thought constantly came to mind. Where was Mical? The though itself made me beyond giddy, the thought that goody-two-shoes, for once, could be late.
My unnervingly happy thoughts were interrupted by reality, however. Dane was almost on mind now, hell, I think about her more now than I did before she disappeared. Everyone had their theories but to be honest, mine wasn't all that great, it was childish if anything. What else could one think if someone they loved disappeared only a week after proposing to them?
Thoughts hopelessly tossed aside, I straightened my robes, stopped pacing the chambers, and after a moment of thought, sat back down.
---
Carth Onasi
"We're almost there, give or take a few minutes."
The shuttle pilot's announcement almost was enough to bring me tears of joy. I was too tired to weep, however, hopping from planet to planet was enough to fatigue someone enough to the point where they were ready to drop dead.
I laughed to myself, there was time to sleep when I was back home, after seeing Dev and Revan at least once, of course.
"We're coming in for landing now, please keep your safety belts tight until the shuttle has completely touched down."
Finally, as the cramped shuttle slowly mades its way to the ground, I disembarked, smiling from ear to ear as I ran off to the enclave.

Revan jolted visibly, a large smile blooming on her face. The presence that had always been there, in the back of her mind, was now in front. Carth. My Carth. If her senses were correct, her husband was tired but... happy. Mira looked at her and smirked. Red hair shifted with the movement of her nose. It had grown longer in the past years. Though Mira still kept it up in a metal headband, it did little to keep the hair out of her face. "Go ahead," Mira said. She faked a large sigh, as if her next words were painful to say. "What's your vote?"
"Look for Dane!" Revan shouted. She was already running down the hallway.
Mira laughed. Shaking her head, she entered the Council Chambers. The door slid open to her touch, and as she walked through, she unconsciously made note of Atton's position, the position of the bolted-down adjustable chairs, and the glass window above their heads. "Flyboy," she said, nodding to Atton. "Revan said to tell you she votes to look for Dane: Onasi's here. Finally."
--
Dev had made sure Revan and Mira were down the hall before he waddled over to the lockbox beside his mother's bed. It was easy enough to open. All you had to do was hit the top of it with something hard, then...
The box popped open, and Dev put down the chest section of the silver armor he held above his head. Opening it further, he reached in and took out the cylindar inside it. Pressing the activation stud, Dev oooed at the beam of silvery light that shot out of it. He moved it around experimentally, laughing at the sound it made. He wanted one of the lightsticks. He wanted one now!
Dev's small four-year-old mind decided that his mother already had another one. She taught him to share, so she should share, too.
"Mine," Dev said.

Mical headed toward the Council Chambers, and he knew that he was indeed the last person to enter. He walked to the center of the room, smiling a slightly sheepish smile, at the others as he joined them. "I apologize for being late," he said, "I was just admiring the natural beauty of Dantooine. Considering how busy everyone is these days, I try to treasure these moments where can I just take the time to enjoy some fresh air, and enjoy a little of this world's peace and beauty. However, I regret keeping the rest of you waiting."
He cleared his throat, then placed his hands on the pockets of his robes. "So, we are here now to discuss what has happened to Dane," he began. He withdrew a datapad from his right pocket, studying it intently for a moment. "Honestly, I have not been able to gather much information as to here whereabouts, or what she is up too. However, I have heard that there have been several sightings of her in various locations, but I'm hesitant to believe any of them, because they didn't exactly come from.... reliable sources, let's say."
He glanced at the datapad for a moment longer, then seemed almost disguested with the information it displayed, and he thrust it back into his pocket. "Hutts are unreliable, anyway," he murmured under his breath. "And they sometimes make you pay too many credits for too little information. Or in some cases, completely useless information."
The others were looking a bit impatient now, and he cleared his throat. "I'm sorry," he said with a sigh. "First I kept all of you waiting, then I only brought useless information. But I'm a historian, not a tracker or a bounty hunter, I'm not so good at this kind of thing." He turned and glanced at Master Mira. "Do you have any information?" he asked her.

Mira cleared her throat, and revealed a small datachip between her fingers. "I put out the word to some of my old contacts," Mira explained. She lay the chip on the small, hovering tray next to her. It cycled around, displaying the item to all the Masters. "One of them was on a trip to Coruscant. His daughter got a new holocam for her Lifeday, and she videotaped the Jedi Temple." She took the datachip from the tray and inserted it into the side pocket of her chair. An image of the intersecting lanes of Coruscant appeared in the middle of the room: The Jedi Temple could be seen right over the crest of a slow-moving Senatorial bus.
"Daddy, can we go lower?" a child's voice asked eagerly. "I want to see the statues."
"Okay, hon, but just for a minute. Those are illegal parking lanes. Reserved for the Jedi only."
"Yay!" The child's excited squeal could be heard. As the family car got closer, the child zoomed in the camera to see the statues of the ones who had built the Temple. To the trained eye, you could see a person in a dark cloak climbing those stairs into the dark hallways. No lights were on. Apparently, the child saw the flicker of blond hair as the person started their ascent to the top. "Look, Daddy! A JEDI!"
The image zoomed in closer. Though only the back was seen, it was obvious to all Council members that this was in fact the one who had brought them together, the Exile. Mira paused the image and stood. "Dane's on Coruscant. My buddy is keeping tabs on her right now. She has only come out once, and returned carrying shapeless plastic bags. He's defined them as food and glowsticks. Personally, I think Dane is up to no good. And my feelings usually pay off in the end. I suggest a small number of us, maybe two or more, head to Coruscant. She's up to no good."
--
Dev liked the lightsaber. He loved the light which sprang from the handle, which was taller than him. It looked so funny. Maybe it was like on eof those hologames where, when you touched the players, your hand would slip right through. Giggling, he reached out his arm to it's full length, and moved it to the beam.
It hurt. A lot. Dev quickly brought his arm back and dropped the lightsaber: it immediately switched off once the pressure from the trigger was gone. Dev observed the inside of his burnt elbow and did what he thought was best for now:
He cried.

Master Atton Rand
I nodded, watching the holo intently.
"That's the best idea I've heard yet!" I looked to Mical, smiling mockingly "Mira is actually suggesting that we take action! That's got my vote."
My smile was replaced with a neutral face once more "Besides, the informants I spoke with didn't really give me anything. We'll find her though, I'm sure of it."

Mira
"We can't sit on our ass all day, people," I said, looking around the room, meeting every face with a level gaze. "Dane needs us now. Whether she knows it or not."
I know it.

Mical
I had observed the holo Mira showed me in thoughtful silence. Part of me just couldn't believe it. Dane and Revan had not only saved the Republic, but helped rebuild it and the Jedi Order. In many ways, the galaxy was in much better shape than it had been for a very, very long time.
So why in the world would Dane all of a sudden act very strangely, then disappear, and then go to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant? What was she doing there? What was she looking for?
"In that case," I finally said, stroking my chin thoughtfully, "I think it would be best if we left immediately. The more time we linger here, discussing what's happening or what she might be doing, the more time she has a chance to complete... whatever it is she's doing."
I stuffed my hands into the pockets of my robes, looking at the others. "I think we should take precautions," I began slowly, "though the first thing we should do is, well, perhaps one of us could try and approach Dane, and ask her what's going on. Perhaps there's something going on that she doesn't feel comfortable telling us, or she's being stubborn and wants to play hero, trying to take care of whatever it is on her own.
"Or," I continued, "if for some reason, she truly is up to no good, then we can try and capture her. I honestly cannot believe she has fallen to the Dark Side, I think there is something else going on. If she had fallen to the Dark Side, I believe we all would have sensed it."
I stopped, waiting to see what the others would say.
