Atton Rand
I nodded, Mical had a point.
"Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's get to Coruscant." I stopped for a moment "Unless anybody else has a better idea. Although even if you do, I have a feeling I'll be taking the next ship ride out of here anyway."
We need to find her... I thought to myself I'll find her.
Carth Onasi
My sprint slowed to a walk as I came closer to the enclave, the place hadn't really changed one bit. The Jedi still wandered the place. Only one thing was on my mind however, I wasn't thinking about Jedi, I was thinking about one Jedi- Revan. The thought to be with her again quickened my pace.

Revan could see him now. Her breath quickened, and she stopped, drinking in his image. He was just crossing the bridge from Khoonda to the Jedi grounds. She stood off to the side, on the durasteel flooring. He noticed her. She stood stock-still, willing her voice not to appear shaky or fearful.
"Hey, flyboy," she whispered.
---
Mira looked at Michal and nodded. "Listen, we need to find her. If she's playing hero or something, that usually means it's a task she doesn't think she can accomplish. Or, if she's us to no good..."
She recalled something Dane had told her a long time ago. Hidden in the Temple was a sort of stone, or a crystal, dark red in color. She had called it the Kaiburr crystal. It held powerful Force energy, and could heal even the most greivous of injuries. It could help a Life Force expand, or bring someone back from an inch of death... It was hidden deep within the Temple, guarded by traps and ancient secrets that no ordinary person could surpass.
"Remember the Whale?" Mira asked. She couldn't recall the name, but it had been drenched in the Dark Side, using it's power of singing to sway others even sysstems away from them. Perhaps a galaxy away.
Mira hadn't felt it die. The weight, the feelings of something dropped onto her chest, had not died when Dane and Revan supposidly killed it.
It all clicked into place.
"The Whale..." Mira asked slowly. "The Whale isn't dead, is it? And the Kaiburr crystal is still in there, isn't it?"
Mira sat back down in her chair, staring hard at the holo in front of her. Dane hadn't been feeling right to her. Mira's predetory instincts took over. As her breath evened out, she stared straight ahead, blinking slowly. Revan had jokingly commented that this was Mira's sniper-mode. She was assesing, calculating, turning over and rejecting the plans that came to her mind. There were a thousand explainations Dane could be at the Temple... There were only three as to why she hadn't told any of them.

I stopped dead in front of her, holding her tight.
"I'm glad to be back." I chuckled "I trust that Dev is alright?"
I let Revan go, choosing to hold her hand instead, I wasn't exactly the touchy-feely type.
"I love you."

Revan looked up to him and smiled. "Dev wants to see his daddy," Revan answered. She stood up on her toes and closed her eyes, gathering him in a small, pleasant kiss that last only one or two seconds. She motioned all around her. "We're rebuilding again, thanks to your efforts. The Senate was right to listen to you. Were adding a new Wing for another section of quarters. The hanger is almost rebuilt, and we're giving crash-courses on fixing ships to the less experianced Padawans. Dev likes watching the lightsaber trainees."

"Sounds like you have everything under control."
I yawned "Anyway, I better go pay Dev a visit. Make sure he knows I'm here."

Mical
"The Whale..." I murmured, stroking my chin thoughtfully. It was a very mysterious beast, it was--only Revan and Dane had actually seen it, although most Jedi had heard it's "voice" through the Force at one point or another, whether consciously or subconsciously. However, it was most vocal right before it died...
Though, as Mira had just indicated, what if it wasn't really dead?
I'd forgotten what it had called itself, but apparently it had been the last of its race, and within the enclave at least, it was either referred too as a Whale, or as "the Singer".
"If that creature is somehow still alive," Mical said slowly, "it might be controlling Dane. That might be why she's been acting so strangely. Who knows? The Whale... it might want that crystal to bring itself back to life! In that case, there is no time to lose!"
Dane Kurress
Deep within myself, there is a stirring, almost like a fight against a deep sleep--it's as though I am forced to be asleep, to obey the strong whispers in my mind, and I must fight to against it. I must fight to regain conciousness...
Don't make me do this. Let me go! LEAVE ME ALONE. My pleas are either unheard or ignored--I feel myself slipping back into the blackness, unable to see, unable to speak, unable to hear.
Atton, I thought desperately, trying to reach out, if nothing else, to reach the man I love through the Force. But I am not able too. I attempt to reach out to Revan, since she would know about Eviwy--the Singer, that horrible Whale-creature, she would know what was wrong, she would know what to do...
But it is in my mind now--it has been ever since I'd left the world on which it had "died". It's been there, monitering my thoughts, controlling my actions, controlling what I say, until it finally chose to take action.
It wanted the crystal... it wanted to resurrect itself... and even I had no idea what it's full plans were. But Eviwy... she... she was a wicked beast. I was certain she would not stop at merely bringing herself back to life. She would use her power to do more terrible things, and for all I knew, she might try and bring back other members of her ancient, extinct race back to life...
I was helpless against her power--her will was too strong. Alone, I could not fight her. I was like a puppet, and Eviwy's spirit had a firm hold on my strings. I had no choice but to continue searching the Temple for what she wanted.

Revan felt something like a hand on the back on her shoulder, clinging desperatly for help. She trned around to check behind her, but no one was there. She frowned slightly, but gave Carth a huge smile. "Come on!" she said. She ducked his outstretched hands. "Let's see if you can catch a Jedi!"
And so began Carth's tour throughout the West Wing. As they neared their quarters, Revan let Carth catch her. She laughed.

I looked up at Revan, hands on my knees. I had made a mental note while I was on Coruscant to get back into shape, I suppose I had forgotten.
"C'mon, you cheated. I can't use the Force like you can."
I smiled letting her walk through the sliding door before walking in myself, letting my worries fade away at the thought of home...
Atton Rand
I had felt something, what is was I had a feeling I would never find out. It was like a hand reaching out, but through the Force. I had felt it for only a few moments...but then it had drifted away. Whatever it was had brought Dane back to my thoughts, and it pained me with every breath.

"I wasn't using the Force, idiot," she said, laughing. As the door to her quarters slid open, Revan gasped. "Dev!" The young boy was sitting on the ground, clinging tightly to the inside of his elbow. His face was red and puffed up from crying. He saw Revan and started crying all over again. Revan ran foreword and picked him up, bouncing him up and down gently. "Shush, shush, I'm here, Dev, I'm here. What's wrong?"
"The l-light b-b-bured me," Dev stuttered, and held out his arm so Revan could see the black mark. He pointed to Revan's spare lightsaber. "Bad light!" He broke out into more tears.
"You were playing with my lightsaber?" Revan asked coldly.
Dev nodded. "My flashlight!" he screamed. He whimpered in pain. "Mommy, make it go away. It hurts."
Revan set him down. "No," she said firmly. "Not your lightsaber, my lightsaber. If you ever touch it again, you'll have a sore backside. Do you understand me?"
Dev nodded numbly. Then he held out his hand, hoping that his mommy would make the pain go away. Instead, she took out a bandage and slapped it on none-too-gently. Then she rapped him on top of the head light enough not to cause any immediate pain. "Time out," she ordered. "Then we'll go see Master Mira and see what she says. Didn't she tell you not to play with lightsabers?"
"Yes," Dev mumbled. "But I don't want to see her! She'll yell at me!"
"That's what you get for playing with mommy's lightsaber. Now what do you say?"
"Sorry..."

"Revan..." My voice was firm. "Did you ever actually tell him not to play with lightsabers?"
I crossed my arms. "Its not like Mira is his mother, what are the odds he'll listen to her if it appears he doesn't respect her?" I sighed. "Look, I'll talk to him, then we'll see if we need Mira or not."
