As they got into the ship, Mira brought Dane's robes with her and lay them on the bed where she used to sleep during the Sith War, right above Kreia. Dane had joked once about keeping Kreia where she could see her. So long ago. And even longer ago, Mira was tracking the Jedi girl down all the way until she had to meet with Visquis. Dane had risked her neck for her, and stranger, and Mira had escaped and helped rescue her on Goto's yacht. She had returned the debt.
Now Mira had an even bigger one to pay. You just saved millions at the cost of your own life. How am I going to live up to that? I don't know if I'm ready to die yet. But you were, weren't you? You were ready to give up your life for the greater good. I don't think I'll ever be ready to do something as big as that.
But you gave me another life. Maybe I could give a few other million a life, too.
Mira smiled grimly. She'd spend a week or two with Mical--Force knew that she had to rest, to think the death over, and her new pact--and then she'd be off, saving the Galaxy again. Mira wanted to make history. She had a feeling she would.

Revan sat down in the co-pilot's seat, holding a sleeping bed. Her eyes were still red and puffy from tears, but all seemed well. Dane's death would start to hurt in a day or two, but Revan had to accept it. She had to accept whatever was going to happen from there on. Dane had taught her something today about guts. Revan had plenty of those, but not in the personal way. It was time to make it happen.
"Are you going back to the fleet?" Revan asked. "We can hold the fort on Dantooine for a while longer. Dane's death will shock many of the students, but it will teach them about life and death a lot easier than a textbook."
She closed her eyes halfway and sighed. "I want to come to Coruscant with you and rebuild the Jedi Temple there," she said. "I've already decided. I'll be contacting the Senate tomorrow morning to start. The vote will be passed, and once I get back, I'm going to find the Kaiburr and hide it on Mimbian, where no one will ever see it again. I promise you that, Carth."
