He grunted in surprise. He fell hard to the floor. He saw stars. He shook his head to clear it, and noticed that he was already rolling away from her sabre. Sweat more in training, bleed less in battle.
"Nice one," he said, getting to his feet, still winded by the blow. "I underestimated you. Won't happen again."
He leaped towards her.

Mariels' green blade flashed around in an arc as she blocked Naits' blade. With a slight push, she forced his blade away to one side long enough to slash across his weapon arm with the low-powered blade.

He threw down his lightsaber in defeat, cradling his injured arm. "Good match. Short, but good," he said. "I could've won, but I let my guard go down. Won't happen again."

"You're good, Nait, you nearly got me cold twice. I haven't had a workout like that in a long time." Mariel said, a fine sheen of sweat on her brow. She shut her eyes and slowly breathed out, trying to numb the stinging pain in her side.

He grinned and clipped his lightsaber back to his belt. Nait, hands free now, took his Padawan braid and tucked it back into his little mini-ponytail. He once cherished it, but now it was just a distraction.
"Listen, I need to make repairs on the ship. Sora left me in charge. I need to repair the ship in time to meet my sister and Jaskia."

"Yeah, he said finally. "The engines need rewired. The mynocks chewed off a few and left some crap on the floor.. He grinned at the look on her face. "Just joking on the last part."

Mariel gave Nait a very old fashioned look. "If the Order was still in existance, I'd have a few choie words for your master." she said, as she made her way to the engineroom.
